Stimulus Funds Support Social Security: May 4, 2009

As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the federal stimulus plan, we voted to make sure that if you received Social Security benefits by January 2009, you will receive a one-time payment of $250.  The first of these payments will be mailed this week.  If you do not receive your payment by July, I would encourage you to inquire. 

In light of our current economic condition, I know how important this rebate can be and I hope that it will help those who recieve it afford the everyday things they need.
