Rep. Kind’s Statement on Meeting with President Trump on Tax Reform

U.S. Rep. Ron Kind joined a bipartisan group of House Ways and Means Committee members to discuss tax reform with President Trump. Below is his statement on the meeting: 

“Everyone can agree that our tax system is far too complicated and we need to work together to fix it. During today’s meeting, I discussed with the President that any proposal must level the playing field for Wisconsin small businesses, farmers, and working families. I also told the President that I would not support any plan that gives massive tax cuts to wealthy and powerful special interests while sticking our children and grandchildren with the bill.”
