Information on Propane Shortage

January 28, 2014
In The News

Many people across western and central Wisconsin rely on propane gas to heat their homes and businesses. In light of the recent shortages and frigid temperatures, here are several ways to receive more information or request assistance:

-If you are out of propane, try contacting a local vendor to find fuel. If you call after regular business hours, you will be directed to an on-call staff person or asked to leave a message.

-If you need to find a local vendor, Click here and select “Propane Retailer” to find vendors near your home or business.  If you are leasing a tank from a certain vendor you can ask permission to accept propane from a different vendor that has propane.

-If you are concerned about being not being able to afford propane, call the Energy Hotline call center (866-432-8947).

-If you need help determining whether you qualify for LIHEAP (low income home energy assistance program) assistance, contact my office in Eau Claire (715-831-9272) or La Crosse (608-782-2558).
